Harpers Ferry in the Fall is very special. Harpers Ferry is located at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers where the U.S. states of Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia meet. It is the easternmost town in West Virginia. The town is known for John Browns raid and the Civil War. The Civil War was disastrous for Harpers Ferry, which changed hands eight times between 1861 and 1865. It is now part of It is now part of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and a very popular tourist attraction.
