This is the usual shot everyone wants when coming to NYC: back & white and yellow taxis. But I wanted something different from the common blurry taxi on the move.

It was taken in September 2011, on the fly, while I was crossing a street on Times Square.

I grabbed the opportunity as the traffic lights were almost green and people got out of my focus. It was the perfect moment.

I especially love the sky at the background — like a funnel of light — and the lines of the composition.
