Opened on October 5, 2001 in the city of Palmas, the Memorial Coluna Prestes is considered one of the architectural landmarks, cultural and historical state of Tocantins. The space houses an important collection that is available to researchers, students and community.
Built as a way of honoring the march held by Coluna Prestes during the Movement Lieutenants, its facilities were designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer.
Luís Carlos Prestes is represented in the bronze statue of photography.
