I have a Fine Art background. I completed my Fine Art degree at WSCAD (now know as University of Creative Arts) back in 1993; in which I specialised in Fine Art printmaking.

I have always loved photography. These days I spend very little time in my art studio, my passion for photography having completely taken over.

With macro photography I escape to another little world. I love exploring the tiny details in nature that often get over looked. I love finding beautiful colours and abstract compositions within nature and can even get passionate about photographing moss or a blade of grass.

I think I am at my happiest when I am crawling around on my hands and knees exploring a small patch of moss dripping with sparkling dew in the early morning sun.

Hi, I’m Lindsey. I live in Port St. Lucie, Florida with my wonderful husband and two sweet girls. I love to experiment with collage, watercolor, acrylic, ink, photography, digital art and hope to keep on exploring more mediums. My favorite things to draw are elephants. In addition to being visually stunning, they are smart, loyal and thrive in a family setting. They inspire me as an artist and as a mother.

Ich male seit meiner Kindheit. Die Malerei ist neben der Fotografie immer mein Hobby geblieben.

Meine bevorzugten Motive sind heute südliche Landschaften (besonders die Toskana) und Stillleben (häufig als Collagen mit bemalten Holzteilen auf Leinwand). Dabei verwende ich meistens Acrylfarben, neuerdings male ich auch Aquarelle. Zuletzt habe ich Aquarelle auf Leinwand gemalt.

Zu meinen Spezialitäten gehören Minibilder (z.B. in den Formaten 7x9 cm und 8x10 cm),Toskanabilder, mehrteilige Werke und eben die schon erwähnten Bilder mit Holzapplikationen.

In der Fotografie halte ich die Kamera immer ‘auf Anschlag‘, denn die meisten Motive muss man nicht erst künstlich herstellen, sie sind einfach schon da. Man muss sie nur sehen oder erkennen.

Ich nenne meine Bilder Gute-Laune-Bilder-Huwer, weil ich beim Malen und Fotografieren immer gute Laune habe und mir dies auch für die Betrachter meiner Bilder wünsche!

Painting and photography have been my two favorite hobbies since my childhood.
My favorite themes and specialities are southern landscapes (especially the Tuscany) and still lifes (often as collages with wooden applications)
I mainly use acrylic colors and watercolors.
Very often I paint even in very small sizes (my mini-paitings) and even watercolor mostly on canvas, often as triplets.

My camera is always ready to be used, because most scenes are there already, you only have to see them.

I call my paintings/photos 'Gute-Laune-Bilder-Huwer', which means 'Good-Mood-Paintings/Photos-Huwer', as always I'm in a good mood when I'm painting and I hope that you, visitor or customer, will feel the same when you look at my paintings and photos.

Seit vielen Jahren arbeite ich bereits am und mit dem Computer. Erst beruflich, jetzt privat. Die Vorteile, die mir diese moderne Technik im Bereich digitaler Anwendungsmöglichkeiten verschafft, sind meine Welt. Ohne Computer geht, was den Punkt meiner digitalen Kreativität anbelangt, gar nichts. War es früher der gesamte Bürokram, sind es heute die Möglichkeiten diverser Fraktal- und/oder Bildbearbeitungs-Programme, die mich nicht nur begeistern, sondern auch herausfordern. Da kann ich mit den Programmen gestalten und so mit meiner Freizeit sinnvoll und kreativ umgehen.
Neben der Beschäftigung mit Computerkunst (ob es Kunst ist, liegt im Auge des jeweiligen Betrachters) und Fotografie, sind Treffen mit Freunden, Fernsehen, Lesen, Ausflüge und Reisen Teil meiner Freizeitaktivitäten... Und ich bin ein Fan von intelligentem politischem Kabarett und ebensolchen Satiren in jeder Form... Ob Buch, Bühne, TV oder Cartoon...
