About Me....
I often find myself inspired by nature and other uniquely beautiful elements that I come across in my everyday life. I explore that inspiration through sketching and photography that I can further embellish and manipulate in Photoshop and Illustrator. I hope to one day be involved in the creation of textiles due to my love of pattern making.

Biography
Just over a third of a century ago, a boy called Jago arrived here on Earth with a burning ambition to be ....
Superman, Indiana Jones, or quite possibly King Arthur.
Afer much hard work and an awful lot of drawing he settled on his fourth choice of career, illustrating children's books, something he reckons he could be quite good at one day.
He lives in a slightly damp wetsuit in Cornwall with his fantastically lovely wife Alex, beautiful daughter Lily Peach and small round son, Rudy.
Methods
I work almost entirely digitally, using a secret blend of the finest textures, papers and digital paints. I could tell you how I make each picture, but then I'd have to kill you.
I love stong colours and interesting textures and am always trying out new techniques.
I enjoy working on children's books and am drawn to stories with a hint of eccentricity.

Sabrina Tibourtine wurde 1979 in Paris geboren und wuchs gut behütet im Sauerland auf. Nach mehreren Europaeskapaden, einem gescheiterten Kunstgeschichts-und-einem geglückten-Designstudium arbeitet sie seit 2005 als freiberufliche Illustratorin und Animatorin unter dem Namen "EINE DER-GUTEN" in Köln. Sabrina Tibourtine lehrte ausserdem an der Hochschule Niederrhein “Animation und Handzeichnung”. ” 2008 gewann sie den Alternativen Medienpreis für ihr Minisprech Projekt.

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Australia in 1982, Kareem Rizk is a Melbourne-based collage artist, illustrator and designer who graduated from Monash University in 2004 with a Bachelor in Visual Communication.

After graduating, Rizk’s creative interests began to turn to fine art and illustration, particularly mixed media collage. While working as a Graphic Designer at Melbourne’s No.1 selling newspaper, The Herald Sun, his interest in collage continued to develop and by 2006 it became a focus of his endeavours.

Since his shift of focus to fine art and illustration in 2006 and his pursuit of developing his style, Rizk has earned international recognition and has been noted as one of the contemporary masters of collage, as well as one of the premier mixed media artists working today.

Working mediums include collage, acrylic, oil pastel, pencil, solvent transfers and acrylic transfers. The work is highly textured and often multi-layered with a nostalgic and weathered quality. Rizk’s works can often be vibrant with colour, while others display a very refined or minimal palette.

Working methods also extend to digital collage with a very gritty and realistic display of texture and layering. The digital work began as an experiment in blurring the line between handmade collage and digital collage and it only makes up a small fraction of his entire body of work.

Other work includes freelance illustration, design and art commissions for various clients including news and editorial publications, galleries, university institutes, the boutique fashion industry and the music and entertainment industry.

Exhibitions include solo shows and group shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Washington DC, Miami, London, Berlin, West Cork (Ireland), Stockholm, Zurich, Barcelona, Madrid and Milan.

Rizk's work has been published in numerous high profile art magazines and books and his work is held in private collections worldwide.

I PAINT WITH LIGHT AND COLOUR, TRANSFORMING THE ORDINARY TO THE SPECIAL

My passion is fineart photography; "lightpaintings", as I call my photographs, are already designed within the camera and then transferred by my special postwork to exceptional "photo paintings".

I've developed for my photography art my own special texture-, light-, structure-effect-techniques for over 10 years .

The main focus of my artworks is on the artistic realization of new artworks, the creation of individual colors, shapes and light to carry certain emotions, harmony and the beauty of unique photopaintings. My style is sometimes elegant, sometimes simply minimalistic but sometimes also romantic in pastel colors. The main themes are from nature, flora and still life.

Another favorite of mine is macro photography, the closer look trains the eye for a new way of seeing.
These photographs are nearly all SOOC, i.e. without any post-processing. Here I use special camera techniques that allow me such insights into microcosms, as they cannot be done by conventional macro lenses.

I started building art through design with digital pixels and vectors. This lead to transparent layers of grayscale and color.
Each piece of digitally designed art is built from colonies of brushes developed in CS5 from previous work.

The brushes evolve the art.
