Giovanni Marino

Giovanni Marino is a Freelance Photojournalist based in Italy.
It brings young to photography and began to study the works of great photographers.
Is his country and his region, Basilicata, a land still tied to tradition
popular and peasant, which led him to love in a reportage social and
anthropological with particular interest in the religious and folk customs.
In 2001 winner of Photo Contest of the city of Cavallino Treporti
theme "Waste and Environmental Degradation." In 2001 he attended a course in photography at the John Kaverdash School of Milan. In 2005, he attended a workshop of TPW, "Easter in Sicily" by Bob Sacha (National Geographic) and a workshop of the Toscana Foto Festival, "The rigor journalistic in the reportage" by Gianni Giansanti. In 2006, he attended a photography workshop "Reportage and Everyday Life" by Francesco Cito at Toscana Foto Festival.
Since 2006, is professional photographer and works with newspapers, magazines and photo agencies as freelance photographers for sports, news, reportage and travel.
Stringer with agencies Associated Press, France Presse, Controluce, LaPresse, Olycom, OTNPhotos.
Cooperates with "Mondo Basilicata" as photographer.
His pictures were published on major newspapers and magazines.
Member of Italian Order of Journalists, National Association of Professional Photographers, National Italian Press Federation, Reporters Without Borders.
He speaks English and Italian.
