Hackatao is an artistic duo composed by Sergio Scalet (Transacqua (Italy), 1973) and Nadia Squarci (Udine (Italy), 1977) and was born on November 16th,
2007 with the arrival of Podmorks, the peculiar creatures of their art project.
Hackatao likes to explore different techniques and the work is always made at four hands.
Their art, with the pretext of representing the deeds and the worlds of Podmork, is made with various materials.
The Podmork sculptures are in resin, maniacally customized with spray paint and using the brushes with acrylics and enamels.
On the canvas the two artists express themselves with a superflat technique typical of nipponic Pop Art (Po-ku) which is based on Murakami’s works
while the Pop Surrealist technique is expressed with graphite, ink and paints,
always on canvas but also on various medias such as objects of Design, etc.
Their work has been exhibited in numerous shows in Italy and worldwide.
