Paul Hausammann is a Photographic Artist specializing in capturing the brilliant colors, fascinating shapes, and seemingly limitless diversity of the world around us. His use of artificial light creates strong shadows emphasizing the contours of the subject while reducing or eliminating undesired background elements. This method creates very high contrast images that are remarkably lifelike.
Many of his photographs seem surreal because most are close-ups depicting subjects that often cannot be seen otherwise.
Paul prefers to display his work "as shot", without the use of artificial image manipulation (like PhotoShop) because he believes it to be more challenging to capture the subject naturally.
