I’m a photographer and graphic designer based in Davis, California, USA. I became fascinated with photography and photographers when I was a kid. I even attended workshops with Ansel Adams and others at the Friends of Photography in Carmel in my teens. In college I took a detour into botany and vegetation ecology. In my first career I worked on rare plant surveys, vegetation mapping, and habitat restoration plans at an environmental consulting firm in Sacramento, California.
After some years, I returned to more visually creative interests, becoming a graphic designer focused mainly on maps, technical/scientific information graphics, and visual simulations. This is my day-job today.
More than ever, though, I love to explore American landscapes, historic buildings, and other intriguing subjects with my camera. Thanks for visiting my collection!
