„4000 Chemicals“

This design is part of the pinktoblack typography set. With this design I wanted to create a strong contrast between typography and background. I blended a picture of magnified bacteria with several different textures and then faded the image from the top to reduce the details.
I emphasized the rounded forms of the numbers by filling in the center of the zeros with white and also by varying the
saturation pattern so that it creates separation and emphasizes the words.
The concept is to utilize the solid geometric form of the Blackout typeface combined with the rounded more organic forms of the
Strasua font, so that even though the color contrasts with the background, there is a more subtle contrast of the different
letterforms.
