Das Südende des Plateaus vom Elphinstone Riff reicht hinab bis auf etwa 50m Tiefe, um dann jäh in einen unerreichbaren Abgrund abzufallen.
Diese ungewöhnliche Perspektive ist nur recht selten möglich, den zumeist verhindern heftige Strömungen einen Abstieg dorthin.
