Yes, that title is correct! - these really are cherries on white chocolate!! I spread brown butcher paper on my table and dribbled warm white chocolate on the paper. Then I placed the cherries right in the middle. The only problem with painting a still life this delicious is that it sure was tempting to eat it before I was done with the painting!!

The reds have a variety of colors that are consistent with how they appear in nature: deep burgundy, bright red, yellow and white highlights. The red is so deep in the shadows of the cherries that is presents as a deep purplish red. This gives the image a wonderful depth and contrast.

................................................ Stylistically adaptable to a variety of decors and motifs. Would complement traditional, impressionist, modern and contemporary motifs.
Lovely in dining room or kitchen, commercial settings such as restaurants, cafes, bistros, and hotels. Matches reds to burgundies and all the various shades of these hues.
