‘Tener la cabeza llena de pajaros’ (to have one’s head full of birds).
Imaginary friends are common during childhood development, however I did not have one when I was a kid. Instead I fantasised all the time or as the Spanish proverb goes, my head was full of birds. This is what I have illustrated, taking inspiration from instructions on kids toys, such as Kinder Surprise and Lego.
Meanwhile, the typographic poster uses a quote from Dali, who my imaginary friend and I identify ourselves with for his self-centeredness. ‘Fake Alberto’ is what I’ve called my imaginary friend as a reminder that it is not a real pal but something that completes me in every possible way.
