Description:

One of Liverpool’s Liver birds on top of the Liver Building. This is said to be the female bird looking out to sea, watching over mariners and their safe return. The male bird is at the far end of the building with his back to her looking inland for an open pub!! The Liver birds are strapped securely to the building. This is because if they were to fly away, according to myth, it would bring the downfall of the city!!
