Description:

I took this capture of a tree trunk,situated beside a demolition site of an old hospital,in the centre of Bristol. To place it in all it's glory i cut and pasted it on to an evening sky.
I love the way the branches are growing out of it, as if fighting to survive so i added a lighting effect to the topmost branches.

The contrast between life and death , demolition and renovation is to see in the entire image . Light and dark areas alternate with each other as well as scratches and smooth areas or old and new. The fact that the damage to the main part of the tree does not lead to his death could be paraphrased with the term: everything will survive and is a basic principle of life . Unfortunately is also obvious that man rises as Lord over life and death of this tree. However, the fact that the survival of the tree depend on the light gives the image a naturally mystical character . I like the image and good luck

The tree trunk looks like as he would dancing. He probably does it to the light. The image shows a fresh tree trunk with young saplings. In the background is a dark atmosphere, with stormy clouds that are interspersed with small blue lights. Thus show a shift or change of weather . This contrast is also reflected in the main motif, the tree in which the saplings grow towards the light.

Dieser Kontrast setzt sich auch im Hauptmotiv, dem Baumstumpf fort, in dem dieser neu zum Licht hin austreibt. Dieser Kontrast zwischen Leben und Tod, Abriss und Erneuerung, ist im gesamten Bild zu sehen. Helle und dunkle Bereiche wechseln genauso miteinander wie Kratzer und glatte Bereiche sowie alt und neu.

Die Tatsache, dass die Beschädigung des Hauptteiles des Baumes nicht zu dessen Tod führt könnte man mit dem Begriff Überlebenswille umschreiben und ist ein Grundprinzip des Lebens. Leider ist auch offensichtlich, dass der Mensch sich als Herr über Leben und Tod dieses Baumes erhebt. Das der Überlebenswille des Baumes jedoch vom Licht abhängig gemacht wird gibt dem Bild einen natürlich mystischen Charakter. Gefällt mir das Bild und viel Glück

Der Baumstumpf sieht auf den ersten Blick aus als würde er tanzen. Wahrscheinlich tut er es auch zum Licht hin. Das Bild zeigt einen frischen Baumstumpf mit jungen Trieben. Im Hintergrund ist eine dunkle Atmosphäre, wahrscheinlich Gewitterwolken zu sehen, die von kleinen Blauanteilen unterbrochen sind und somit einen Wandel oder Wechsel des Wetters aufzeigen.

In the tree trunk is so much life, which wants to explore more.
It is SIMPLY MARVELOUS, that life never gives up and tries to find a way to survive.
For me,the picture is a symbol for these qualities.
Of course, like always, the picture ist another piece of your authority in artwork. Well done!

Die Anmerkung "We should never give up" von steffan, gefällt mir, sie ist eine passende Interpretation des Bildes. Auch der Aussage von Anna "fighting against all ods" möchte ich dem gerne hinzufügen. Einfach wunderbar, wie aus dem enthaupteten Stumpf eines ehemals prächtigen Baumes wieder neues Leben treibt. Thematisch und technisch gut gearbeitet, Christine!

The simple unembellished struggle of a tree, fighting against all odds. I love way the new branches grow out of it victoriously. Nice touch with the lighting effect on top, as if crowning the tree's victory. Nature will always find her way, she's more resilient than we give her credit for.
