I love this, is it painted on wood or have you just put the texture behind? Its wonderful!

Thank you Nadja. It's painted on birch a birch wood panel so that's the natural wood grain showing through the bottom of the figure. I use wood stain for the surrounding cherry color and transparent layers of acrylics.
