„Shooter's Kiln/oast house, near Hayes, Tasmanai“

On the afternoon of 30 October 2011 I went for an afternoon’s shooting with a couple of Tasmanian RexBubblers, Brett Rogers and Greg who showed me round some of the highlights of the Derwent Valley area.

This is another of the old Oast Houses in the area, a bit more dilapidated than the first shot. I’d love to have the money to convert this to a house – it’s been done quite a bit in Tassie and I can see a beautiful house in this one. And it looks over and down the river, a gorgeous outlook, especially from up top.

The 'weeds' in the foreground are actually hop bines gone wild, the raison d'etre for the whole edifice!
