At the northern end of the Suguta Valley, close to The Barrier, lies Lake Lokipi - a seasonal alkaline lake - and Cathedral Rock - a rather grand name for a chunk of lava rising from mud flats. Lesser flamingos congregate on Lake Lokipi after rain.
