Taken at sunset on the beach in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, with black and white 35mm film. The western coast of Costa Rica has warm and relatively calm waters, ideal for surfing, which the locals do religiously. The town of Tamarindo is a charming, dirt-road, barefoot, laid-back type of place. I learned to surf there, and love this image because it brings with it warm memories. If you can't relax in Tamarindo, you can't relax anywhere! Tranquilo! Pura vida!
