Lake Windermere is the largest natural lake in England and Windermere Lake Cruises sail a number of passages over the lake.
Three large ex-railway steam launches, Tern built in 1891, Teal built in 1936 and Swan built in 1938 operate these excursions. All of these vessels were carried in kit form to lakeside by train to work on the train and boat connection.
