„Used Sci-Fi - AIWA Personal Stereo“

I've always been fascinated by texture, age and weathered objects. This is the first image in a series entitled Used Sci-Fi, looking at how modern machines, tools and appliances age. While my starting point was a simple exercise in examining texture, the series as a whole has become an examination of consumerism. An addictive economic model less than a century old that society seems unwilling to find an alternative to, despite the destruction it's inflicting on our world.
