„Woman Harvesting Crops near Bhaktapur“

Picture ID: 8629191
Description:

It's harvest time in Nepal, and here a woman in a bright pink dresshas been gattering the crops from the fields. She has a large pile of crops which have been formed into a bale, and she is carrying the bale using a 'naamlo' - or head-strap - suspended across her forehead, as is the custom in Nepal. The vibrant green of the rice fields she walks across complements the shocking pink of her dress, giving the picture great visual impact.
