Born in 1966 and living in Florence (Italy), grows in a environment where the Arts are palpable because of many relatives on both sides of the family - photographers, musicians, painters and stained-glass windowmakers of fame, architects, poets and so on...
His first multimedia exhibition takes place in 1986 at the historic alternative Art center Pat-Pat Recorder (featuring poetry, installations and experimental soundtrack) and is videotaped for the archives of the Luigi Pecci Centre for Contemporary Art of Prato.
During the years Ale tries different ways to express himself: poetry, music journalism, video, photography, singing in an indie band and so on and relases records, books, writes articles and publishes photos.
As of today, his main interest is photography, especially as Lomographer, Polaroider, iPhoneographer.
His photos have been exhibited and published in many occasions in Italy and abroad, such as the “Pixels at an exhibition” (the first-ever world iPhoneography exhibition held in Berkley, California in 2010), at the World Congress of Lomography in Trafalgar Square (London 2007), at the EYE'EM Award Exhibition (Berlin 2010).
“The *possible* exhibition”, a personal exhibition consisting of original Polaroid shots and large-format plexiglass reproductions, has been traveling through various Italian cities for one year between 2009 and 2010.
In 2008 Ale co-directs of the 3-minutes docufictionary short film titled “Investigation of Citizens Above All Suspicions”, selected and screened in various Italian and international cinema festivals, including the "Short Film Corner" of the 62nd Cannes Film Festival.
