After completing studies in the arts (1993) and 2D & 3D multimedia design (2003), I began exploring the possibilities of Photoshop and Painter software and creating my first digital paintings, while working professionally as a web designer and webmaster.
Mainly influenced, in the beginning, by Pre-Raphaelites, and Renaissance painting, I initially dedicated my experiences to developing the digital painting technique, while looking for a personal style. Then, I chose themes from the Imaginary (fantasy, fantastic, science fiction and horror) that I would use in my illustrations expressing my own reveries and escapes. I spent more than five years exploring this technique, producing works and presenting them at various exhibitions and galleries in Quebec. I knew I hadn’t realized the full potential of my approach, so I realized I had to reflect more on the structure.
This last year of reflection and sharing with the public made me aware of my deepest aspirations and real interests. I explore now more of historic fantasy, Arthurian and medieval themes in a figurative and classic style influenced by antiquity, Celtic civilization and Middle Ages.
Finally, despite my great passion for history, because life is modern, I draw the creative source of my work from my immediate universe, from what touches me in my time, from my spirituality and from my love for nature .
