My work speaks in a context of time,a painter and more recently exploring Photography.I choose not to privilege any one medium.The emotional and psychological content of my subject,the way the body expresses its dialogue/emotion.It contextualizes the concepts of the duality of the meaning of the imagery. My style is an expression of my phillosophy which becomes a language,using,Post Modern,Expressionism,Latin American Tradition,Surrealism,soft Classism and Photography.It expresses my deep awareness of global issues and is counterbalanced with my cultural heritage.
My inspiration originates from life/nature; Its too spiritual to express.However,it is the same expressive energy as the work,transfused between energies;I use a certain iconograhy,which becomes a language. My art has helped me to see that nothing on earth is solitary,all things are interlinked.
In order to see the 'impossible',you need to see the "invisible";
My art is a 'leap',only if the viewer can listen;
The unique expression in my art,is an attitude /language of my style but is easily understood in its emotion;
My art Carries powerful messages about me/maker;
In my compositions,even though the figures kisses and harmoniously balanced and interlocks with another, all actions are synchronized conceptually.Each figure is psychologically isolated from the others in his own realm and from the viewer;In a mood of introspection and sad contemplation prevails, in his or her own intimate dialogue.
I create an archive of images that are,socially powerful and visually poetic;
The truth of life is revealed in nature;As an art creator,I am guided by nature,from which I have formed my art;All man made forms are from'nature',hence the 'dependence'on nature;I am more concern about man's Psychological and spiritual well-being,than his physical needs;I have gradually become aware that my own development as an artist influence by two energies;God and nature/life;
Diversity of the capacity to break monotony and engage the hidden realms of energies and causes them to arise to communicate with the hidden realms of nature;Energies which cannot be explained/taught,they can'only',be experience to commune/learnt;Art awakens the realms of these energies and process/evoke them in dialogue...;
The.'spirit'is higher than the 'mind' and 'body',its metaphysical,which I focus on because of its intense abstract,philosophical, imaginative transcendentical power;This'spirit' permeates the pores of my concepts;
My art expresses,my deep awareness of global and urban issues is counterbalanced with my cultural heritage;
Inspiration:Life and the mental energy that creates the dialogue,leaps and spirals into the imaginative energy and breaks the Monatony...;
To paint reality,not dreams because I don't know what dreams are;It is always clear what belongs to the real world and what belongs to the dream world;I don't think dreams/paint them and I don't experience dreams but I know about life because life is visible,I can feel and touch it;
I cannot discribe my process of creating,it's too spiritual to express,however,it is the same expressive energy as the work itself,transfused between energies...;
My work explores the hidden region of the psyche.Inspiration comes from an awakening reality in which the visible world and the interior reality interpenetrate and fused.
The accent placed on the "power of the imagination,childlike innocence".Imagination alone informs me of what could be;Pushing the irrational to its ultimate consequences.
I use a certain iconography/language in my work,which becomes a characteristic of me.
What i imagined and believe becomes a reality in my art.
Art defines itself.
An attitude in the thinking of my work is,reductionism,where i reduce images to symbols,hence the symbolistic expression,which preoccupied and resonates my work and become my style of expression.
Some lessons in Art can't be taught,they must be lived to learn them.
I transcend intellectuality into forces...which my work manifest.All things were being manifest to my sensuality before they were being transcend.
Art is an expression of a spiritual journey.
Time,time didn't exist until the time,so as my paintings didn't exist until it was time, who brought it to time.
Art has helped me to see that nothing on this earth is solitary,all things are interlinked/connected.Nature relate and harmonize with each others' existence.
Understanding of my paintings,involves two people's imaginations:the spectator's and the artist's.To get into my paintings to see what it is really about,you need to know what to look for and be prepared to use your imagination.
Getting involved in this way, makes a voyage of discovery in "reading" the intellectual/emotional content of my paintings:The use of symbols etc, the appeal to the senses of colour; the display of emotion through colour,the expression of social and cultural attitudes.My paintings should enlightens the mind and sparks the imagination and if it does,it has become my voice.
Light is not just to show movement and effects on form and colour but to awaken the intent of the soul in my paintings.
I trive for the general and typical;appealing to the mind rather than the senses,through colour, form and composition.
The figure:Each figure must "read" exact emotions that relate them to the given event.
I do not marry to the content of my art,only to the (spirit) of the content.
Great art lives by its owe rules and timeline,which hardly ever favor the artist who creates it.There is a silent quality in great art that you can sense in both old masters and Contemporary leaders.
If art speak's beyond the times of its creator,it may be great.
I don't rely on someone else's opinion,to tell me what art is unique/superior or not.I beleive any one who can handle their own intellect alongside of their soul and express a balanced rendition of their uniqueness married between the two,that's a valuable clarity. That's how i judge another's art to residing in the neighborhood of a higher level.
I find/create a language that evoke the situation or image that speaks in the future tense.I beleive that art is a spiritual calling.It should engage in spiritual realms.
It reveals that which lives within.
It is not merely, a vehicle for religious and social teachings but a mode of expression. It reflects aspects of time and the compression of the space and the mood of sadness that permeats it ,and conveys a psychological tension. It reflects a spiritual force. The process of my work is a dialogue,which changes as time passes and this dialogue is the principle that governs the process of my work. I take inspiration from my intimate dialogue.
