Howard Cheek

We live on 6 acres of Central Texas Hill Country in its natural state. We have made the property wildlife friendly with the addition of a pond, and feeding stations for the birds & native animals.
Since we live on a major migratory path (The Central Flyway), I'm always on the lookout for new species of birds passing through..

Published in Nature's Best Photography, Texas Parks & Wildlife, National Wildlife, Better Holmes & Gardens, Nature's Garden, Birds & Blooms, Astronomy Magazine, and others. The Nature Conservancy's grand prize winning calendar cover shot for 2010, Birds & Blooms Grand Prize and Texas Parks & Wildlife Magazine contest winner for 2011. One of my images was used this year for a book cover shot, my first. Another first was a Public Broadcasting interview in 2009, which aired later that year here in the Unites States.
I also regularly contribute images to the National Wildlife Federation and I'm a supporter of The Nature Conservancy's work around the globe.
