Through research on the origin and meaning of The Little Red Riding Hood it was discovered that the removing of Little Red's cloak or being eaten by the wolf was originally meant to represent losing one's innocence or virginity. This subject matter was approached in a tasteful composition.

This piece shows Hansel fooling the old witch who has poor eyesight. Rather than sticking his finger through the cage for the witch to test if he is getting fatter he puts a chicken bone through the cage.

By only showing Little Red Riding Hood's cloak the viewer is left to make their own ending of the story.

This piece shows the witch watching Hansel and Gretel enjoy the candy on her house. She is waiting for the right time to capture the two children.

This piece shows Hansel and Gretel hiding in a tree after their father abandoned them. Character was added to the piece by incorporating a bold color palette.

This scene is inspired from the end of The Little Red Riding Hood story, where the hunter cuts open the wolf to free Little Red and her Grandmother. By replicating the traditional Operation board game focus was placed on the wolf and what he had eaten without showing him literally being ripped open by the hunter. All of the items in the wolf’s stomach are related to points in the story.
