Larry Eiring is a Northern California based digital photographer and artist. His photographic work is focused on two very diverse, but interconnected approaches. He is widely known for his striking and colorful macro-photographic images of flowers in intimate detail. Conversely, his sweeping landscape and architectural images have been featured on over 125 travel and leisure websites around the globe. His artworks, completed mainly in acrylic media are often abstractions of his photographic images. In a style he describes as "abstract-impressionism", Larry uses bold strikes of color in harmony with soft pastel backgrounds to produce works that awaken the senses but also offer an air of serenity to the viewer. His gifted eye for image composition, balance of color and use of light belies the fact that he is both a self-trained photographer and artist.
