40years of making pictures

Kathleen has degrees in Graphics and Technical Writing. She spent a number of years working in advertising as both a layout artist and web designer. She fell in love with New Mexico at a very young age and eventually found her self living in the Taos/Santa Fe area where she spent a large part of her adult life. While in Taos she had two art galleries, the Rainmaker and the Turquoise Lady.

Kathleen now lives in the Great Lakes Area in North West Ohio where she spends her summers at a marina on Lake Erie and her winters at home where she divides her time between digital art and jewelry making.

Photography has always been part of her life and her time at the marina and the islands is spent with her Nikon in hand. She has a great love for the large coastal birds – Herons, Egrets, Seagulls and of course the Pelicans.

Louise's interests have always been concentrated on travel and the arts, in spite of her first career being spent entirely in the world of science. She is fortunate that her husband's career has taken her to far flung destinations and allowed many opportunities for world wide travel. She contributes her travel and nature images to several stock agencies, and her flower and garden imagery to a specialist garden agency.

Louise was born in the UK, and raised in Toronto, Canada. Louise's first career was in library and information management, working with scientific research companies in Canada, and then at Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York. After her husband's career took them overseas, Louise held a number of short-term positions as a librarian, but since 2007 she has been a full-time freelance photographer. She is currently based in Houston, Texas, and travels frequently to world wide destinations including England, France, Malaysia, and Australia.
