I have been involved with art all my life, but I trained and worked as a lawyer, due to parental pressure to get a "proper job". My recreation from working in our capital city was painting and walking the high country of central New Zealand. I sold my art, and have works in New Zealand, Australia, several states of the USA, Canada and France.
My dad died unexpectedly and I moved back home to a 10 acre block in the country, rather than sell it. Now I'm involved with illustration, graphics and webdesign. I am currently illustrating a book, due for publication late 2011.
A series of portraits of my old staffy cross dog, in the last few months of his life.
Jackson was my first cat (of many), and like most of my animals he came from rescue. He was a very gentlemanly grey, with a large white bib and some white on his face - quite distinguished and unmistakable. His antics inspired so many ideas and they still live on.
