Riccardo Valsecchi is an Italian journalist and photographer.
A graduate in Literature and Philosophy with a degree in Disciplines of Art, Music and Show Business from the University of Bologna, his work has been published in many international newspapers and magazines – among the others, CNN, Style, Rassegna, Altreconomia, New Internationalist, Literature and Languages, World Press, Liberazione, Left, VPS, die Tageszeitung, die Welt - covering such topics as arts, style, travel, migration, human smuggling, social issues, freedom of press and conflict. Previously he has worked as journalist for some music magazines.
His photo-reportages are distribuited by Ara-Network, Photoshelter, My Loupe and Demotix. He sporadically collaborates also with some citizen journals, as Digital Journal, Global Voices and Allvoices.
Riccardo Valsecchi has lived in Berlin, Germany, since 2007.
He is a registered journalist for the Italian National Association of Journalists and for Landesbezirk Berlin-Brandenburg (Germany).
