Sandra Vargas

Sandra Vargas is the person behind the nickname Sandygrafik, a Peruvian born graphic designer and self taught illustrator currently living in Denver, Colorado.

She’s passionate about digital illustration, though she also loves experimenting with traditional media like inks and watercolors.

Sandra’s work is inspired by characters from classic fairytales and whimsical creatures that live in her imagination.

Her work is filled with contrasts. Sometimes it’s colorful and enlightened, sometimes it’s dark and gloomy, but always surrounded by a magical atmosphere.

Countess Nocturne subsists by feeding on the life essence of nocturnal beings, walking quietly through the shadows of the night.
She exudes her bittersweet fragrance of dried rose petals, like the ones forgotten over the graves of the unfortunate, and her victims fall at her feet...

Digital Artist from Germany. My works are 3D-Renders and or digital paintings. My images show worlds and characters, that are a bit bizarr, sometimes dark sometimes sweet, but always a product of my fantasy.

I enjoy creating artwork in a range of styles, from realistic drawings in pencil to colorful, whimsical digital art. My professional background is in 3D computer graphics and animation software for the game and entertainment industry, but I spend any extra personal time on expressing myself through artistic media including digital painting, traditional arts, polymer clay, interior design, murals, and knitting.

Inspired by the beloved character created by Tim Burton.
Though he is an unfinished creation, he shows more humanity and compasion than the real people. I love his innocence, his romanticism; his isolated soul that does not fit into this mundane world.

My twisted interpretation of the scene
“Painting The Roses Red” from Lewis Carrols “Alices Adventures in Wonderland”.

In an alternate imaginary version, Alice gets rid of the evil Queen in a hidden garden… now she has fresh red paint for her adored roses. The dream is over...

Elfie has a new friend now! Not just the little red robin but the cute Jollybelle, my new Christmas elf. She's getting ready for Christmas with the help of Chickadee, but has tangled a bit with some ribbons and wrapping paper!
