I`m a freelance photographer based in Sofia, Bulgaria. Photography is a challenge, passion and freedom to express myself. I have particular interest in urban and conceptual photography. What motivates me is opportunity to show my ideas in an individual way. Every piece of art should capture the hearts of people, and push them to find themselves in context. The shape, photography techniques, editing of images should be done for the sole purpose of expressing your idea in a more profound and persuasive way. My strongest driver in the artistic process is the expression of concept, the message to the audience.

For me everything began with the love for traveling and the wish to ban the unknown and fascinating - people, landscapes, situations - in pictures. Meanwhile I am a freelance photographer working in the fields of people and fashion as well as nature and urban/ urbex. Whats left is the love for strong composition and mostly decent colours. And I like the little strange, absurd and bizarre things for their beauty.
I've started photography in the end of 2009, today, this is my second life... 2011 november; my first photography officially exposed with a publication in the great french magazine "Chasseur d'Images". Jürgen Bürgin was born in Lörrach in Germany in 1971. He was studying German literature, linguistics and economy in Freiburg and received a degree at the Albert-Ludwigs Universität in Freiburg in 1998. He began to work for movie business in Berlin in 1999 as public relations manager for a film PR agency and has since participated in the PR for numerous movie releases in Germany. As a creative counterpart to his daily job he is working as an urban photographer too, and has been shooting in Berlin, Barcelona, Paris, London, San Francisco, Chicago and New York. In 2011 he was shortlisted for a Sony World Photography Awards in the category After Dark.

…ist das gemalt oder fotografiert?
Das ist eine Frage, die ich im Zusammenhang mit meiner Arbeiten oft höre und liebe. Meine Bilder sind alle fotografiert. Sie werden von mir so in Szene gesetzt und unter Verwendung neuster Bildbearbeitungsprogramme bearbeitet, das man sich nicht sicher sein kann, ob es sich um Fotografien oder Gemälde handelt.
Meine Passion sind Stillleben, die ich je nach Stimmung in Bilder verwandle, bis sie zum Teil einen fast surrealen Charakter bekommen. Natürlich achte ich darauf, dass die Natürlichkeit der einzelnen Motive erhalten bleibt. Das ist mir sehr wichtig, denn unsere Natur bietet so viel Schönes, dass ich festhalten und bewahren möchte.
I am a young artist currently studying Fine Art in Dundee, Scotland. My artwork is mainly figurative and I work within the realms of photography and painting. Through my artwork I try to convey real emotion and tell a visual story through a still image.
