Intimate black and white photography of a rodeo cowboy at a rodeo in Wyoming. Behind the chutes cowboys perform individual rituals that prepare them for riding wild animals such as bulls and untamed bucking broncs.

The imprint on the cowboy's chaps is Psalms 91;4 from the Bible. The scripture is "He will cover you with feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart."
