„Homage to Monet in a Japanese Garden“

aus der Galerie von Lee Rentz
Über dieses Bild:

Claude Monet's garden at Giverny is an icon for the idea of interpreting nature through art. Water lilies on a pond, combined with reflections from the surrounding landscape and the color and transparency of the water itself, allowed Monet to explore the nature of light and landscape.

For this photograph, and a series of related photographs, I used a pond in Seattle's (USA) Japanese Garden, which has water lilies mingling with reflected Japanese Maples, which are especially lovely in autumn. This photograph is one of my best from that memorable day.
