It is estimated that by 2050 our oceans will contain more plastic than fish. The content of such flotsam is toxic and poses significant harm to our ecosystems and the earth. I shot this considering this composition, one singular item among millions , a small plastic ball, which is played with by children, placed in partial darkness and shadow, provoking thought on all that remains unseen, the child is not present in the scene here, as our humankind may one day be absent from the earth. The flotilla of plastic is polluting earths oceans, set in focus by a singular ball, and light, emitting into the scene.
