Inge Meldgaard

Born in Denmark, I moved with my family to Melbourne, Australia, in 1957, where I still live. My interest in art and writing began as a child, and in recent years, I have had more time to give these creative outlets the attention they deserve. I took up photography in 2005, and find inspiration from the bushland environment and garden surrounding my 1915 house, as well as the built environment.

I have published three novels, and took great pleasure in having the ability to design and produce the artwork for their covers. The novels are crime-mystery/sci-fi set mainly in 25th century Australia. 'The Cicada' was published in 2009, 'A Death In The Making' in 2011, and 'The Seed Gatherers' in 2013. They are available as print and eBook versions, worldwide. In 2012/2013, I have also published an illustrated children's book, 'Boggle the Gymboot Bird', in collaboration with Lucy Gao, who did the illustrations. In 2022 I then published a small volume of short stories in both prose and poetry form, with original photos where relevant: 'The Red Lamp and Other Stories' is available in Kindle format from Amazon.
