Michael Peychich

Since childhood, Michael has had a fascination with photography but he never pursued it beyond being a hobby. In July 2004 his wife suffered a massive stroke, it was from that time that their lives on took a new direction. Prior to he stroke they were considering the possiblity of full time mission work. However after two mission trips after the stroke it was clear that it would be to difficult for Brenda with the physical limitations. Looking for ways to spend more time together they found photography to be a good avenue. As he developed as a photographer his work moved from a hobby to having a higher purpose and at that time it became art to him. Since that transformation in his purpose he has developed a greater appreciation for the world of art. His work is displayed over forty gallery exhibits and fine art fairs a year. His desire is to show the wonders of God's creation to those who are exposed to his art. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:Romans 1:20

The shoreline just east of Hanauma Bay and part of the overall preserve, Oahu, Hawaii. The shades of blue from the sky to the deep pacific and then the crashing waves on the lava rock shoreline is nothing short of spectacular. This area is easily viewed from a lookout parking area along the Kalanianole highway.

The waters of the Wailua river cascade off a cliff creating the Wailua Falls also known as the Fantasy Island falls. They gained their name from the use of the falls in the opening scene of the television program Fantasy Island. On the island of Kauai and only a few minutes from Lihue, Hawaii provide for fantastic viewing. This view was taken from the base of the falls a view not seen as often, due to the steepness and slippery conditions on the trail to the river.

After an art show my wife and I visited a Muskegon beach to enjoy a sunset and were treated to this romantic sunset. Many people like to plan their Michigan vacations to visit the lighthouses within the state, this is one you do not want to miss.

This reminds me of a song by Margaret Sangster

THE SHIPS GLIDE IN AT THE HARBOR'S MOUTH

The ships glide in at the harbor's mouth,
And the ships sail out to sea;
And the wind that sweeps from the sunny south
Is sweet as sweet can be.
There's a world of toil and a world of pain,
And a world of trouble and care,
But O in a world where our Father reigns,
There is gladness everywhere!

The harvest waves in the breezy morn,
And the men go forth to reap;
The fullness comes to the tasseled corn,
Whether we wake or sleep.
And far on the hills by feet untrod
There are blossoms that scent the air,  For O in this world of our Father, God,  There is beauty everywhere!

Eldred Rock Lighthouse is an octagon shaped lighthouse built in 1905 and first lit on June 1, 1906. It is the last of ten Alaskan lighthouses constructed between 1902 and 1906. Constructed on a small island called Eldred Rock in the Lynn Canal these rough stormy waters are surrounded by majestic mountains. It was built due to the high number of shipwrecks during the gold rush of 1898. The most famous of which was the steamship Clara Nevada that went down under suspicious circumstances. At least 75 lives were lost that day along with 850 pounds of gold. There were four survivors however, the gold was never found. Today in 20011 it would be worth $32,640,000.00.

This little fellow perched upon a rock gazing over his known world seems to be deep in thought. Just what does a lizard think about?

This is one of the species of lizards living in Hawaii, there are no native species all were introduced from other countries.

Michael Peychich hat das Bild Lower Tahquamenon Falls hochgeladen

One of the five Lower Tahquamenon Falls located in the Tahquamenon State Park outside Paradise, Michigan, USA. Among the best known of the nearly 300 waterfalls in Michigan's Upper Peninsula because of the colors and size of the combined falls.

The colors of the water are present year round, many believe it is due to iron and other minerals, however, the colors are due to tannins from the bogs that form its watershed. The falls are often referred to as the Root Beer Falls because the waters look like a river of root beer.

The falls are a wonderful place to visit year round, however, in the winter the lower falls my not be visible because the can freeze over completely and be covered in snow. This view is from mid September.
