The view standing at Goring Lock and looking across the River Thames to the village of Streatley-on-Thames in Berkshire, England. Behind the village rises the bulk of Streatley Hill or Lardon Chase, a site of special scientific interest. The Thames here flows through a break in the hills between the North Wessex Downs and the Chiltern Hills known as the Goring Gap. Being a picturesque area, it is the haunt of painters - and photographers!
