Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite stories. Few people know that Lewis Carrol, the author of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, was actually a teacher of mathematics and was very interested in logic problems. He was also a cosmologist. "Cosmology (from Greek ?????????? - ??????, kosmos, "universe"; and -?????, -logia, "study"), in strict usage, refers to the study of the Universe in its totality as it now is (or at least as it can be observed now), and by extension, humanity's place in it. " The story of Alice in Wonderland I believe is filled with symbolism, and has many layers to the story that would not be understood by the average reader. For example, when Alice chases the hare with the pocket watch, this is a clear reference to zeno's mathematical paradox which was illustrated by Aesop's fable of the race between the tortoise and the hare. Lewis Carrol was very familiar with this paradox and even wrote a poem on the subject. The paradox is concerning infinite divisibility and the impossibility of how time and space must be and yet can not be infinitely divisible within finite time and space. This paradox is further demonstrated by the number upon the Mad Hatters hat, 10 / 6, which when divided results in infinite number 1.66666666666666666666 etc.
