Butter lamps are a popular form of worship amongst Buddhists in Nepal. This young girl is lighting lamps to sell to pilgrims visiting the famous stupa at Boudha, or Boudhanath, situated in the Kathmandu Valley. It is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal. Boudha is on the ancient trade route from Tibet, and many Tibetan exiles have settled here. The stupa at Boudha is the largest in Nepal.
