„Glass, plastic and pink curtains“

from the gallery of Marjolein Katsma

Two neat windows with bright blue frames sitting in a freshly-plastered wall (without a doubt it will be whitewashed soon). Again, the small panes of glass are fastened into the window frame by means of nails - and as a result, in the right-hand window one pane has cracked, while in the top pane of the left-hand window a little piece of glass has broken out where a nail used to be, while two overlapping panes of glass are used to fill the frame. Does that cause the window to be drafty? No problem - double glazing is the answer. And if you can't afford the glass for that, just use a sheet of plastic!

It's pretty hard to look through the windows to see what's just inside: outside the window panes are smeared with drips from the plastering, while inside the plastic makes it hard to see through. We can see a hint of what may be artificial flowers (again), and not much else. Apart from the really neat pink 'curtains' which are actually made of paper! It gives these windows a really personal touch.
