Had lot of fun designing this creature. Started sketching a couple ideas on paper, then I developed more the concept in 3D, thinking about his function and story, adding lots of nostrils around his body, so he can smell his prey, then open his head to reveal his mouth.
Realized in Zbrush, starting from zspheres, then I created the UV with Uv master and with the combination of Photoshop and Polypaint I created the texture. Then I composed different render passes in photoshop, integrating him in an environment.
