The small settlement of Pisang can be found on the eastern section of the Annapurna Circuit. It sits at an altitude of 3190 metres, and the air is thin and chilled, even in the summer months. Pisang is spread across both slopes of the valley, and if you climb up to the gompa - Buddhist monastery - at Upper Pisang, you will be rewarded with spectacular views across the valley to the snow-covered mountaintops.
