A view of the wooden walkway at Bom Bom Island resort. Bom Bom Island Resort is on the island of Principé. It is a luxurious resort, renowned for its big game fishing, diving and bird life. Accomodation is in small individual chalets that look onto stunning private beaches. A distinguishing feature is the wooden walkway which joins a tiny island (where more chalets and the resorts restaurant is located) to the main island. Sao Tomé and Principé is Africa's second smallest country with a population of 193 000. It consists of two mountainous islands in the Gulf of New Guinea, straddling the equator, west of Gabon. Principé is the smaller of the two islands with a population of around 5000.
