„Termoli, trabocco n. 1“

from the gallery of Stefano Mattia

A trabocco (also known as trabucco) is a “sustainable fishing machines that resemble giant beached prawns sitting on the rocks with giant tendrils casting wide nets out into the deeper reaches of the sea”. These kind of machines are spread along the Adriatic coast, in the Abruzzo, Molise and Puglia Italian regions. This one is located in Termoli, a small town in the Molise region.
