„The Cage - Lyme Park“

from the gallery of Oliver Wood

The Cage in Lyme Park, Cheshire - portrait, monochrome with split-tone process. The Cage is a notable Cheshire landmark or 'folly' that was once a hunting lodge for the nearby Lyme Hall and also used as a prison for illegal poachers, hence 'The Cage'. It is in a very moody and highly exposed setting that commands magnificent views across much of Cheshire and the foothills of Derbyshire to the east.
