My name is AVDIA AVRUMUTOAE, I am a Romanian-Belgium, painter, textieldesigner living in Antwerpen.
I exhibit in Belgium, mainly in Antwerpen. Even abroad, mainly in Romania, Bucarest. I publish my work in newspapers, even on the Internet.
I see a life as one big event hours trip, which I can through my work I want to share.
The visualization of my ideas and work is best expressed through Photoshop collages in which all facets of life are processed. But humanity and feelings are the biggest inspiration for me.
If original material I use my own photography, art paintings, portraits, naked bodies, sketches, illustrations and images of nature from everywhere. To be collected are purely surrealistic from another reality: a dramatic images, fantasy pictures, illusion images even with a strange character.
Sometimes they are highly diverse, with characterizations as humorous, science fiction, new age, magical realism all may apply.
My pixel paintings are all loners and have their own visual language.
I’ m busy with art projects; I have a lot of affinity with colors, different techniques, materials.
My life is entirely dedicated to art.
Arthis, Romanian Cultural Centre in Belgium, hosted a painting exhibition "Passage" where the artist Avdia Avrumutoae, a Romanian stranger established seven years ago. Brussels correspondent of Maramures.ro Doris Uglar was present at the opening and talked with the artist, trying to find its sources of inspiration, as well as cope with homesickness.

"The longing for home, family are feelings which overwhelm me sometimes, but art helps me to live and accept the idea that I’m a traveler in a foreign country," said Avdia Avrumutoae, adding that "love is and will remain source of meditation in my art.”
