Painting Sacred Spaces - Temples, Museums and the Beach.

Traveling in India, visiting the temples a deep, concentrated and meditative experience transformed my art making and life.

Encounters with "mystery" revealed to me through drawing (s) get me out of bed in the morning. Temples, museums, beaches, are all spaces I consider sacred because they nourish our hunger for beauty and our longing for meaning.

The paintings have gained an astonishing level of energy and pace of evolution. Strong color and bold abstraction have emerged from compositions rooted in the figure and line. The size of paintings has increased to mural proportions and the number of inspirational subjects is expanding. It is an exciting, productive time.
