Artist Katerina Bodrunova began her career in 2009 as a self-educated photographer. Since then, she has exhibited her photography in several solo exhibitions throughout Moscow, has been published in art magazines, and has received numerous awards and honors from prestigious photographic competitions.

Most recently, Bodrunova exhibited her photography in Art Paris 2011 as well as Barcelona Showcase 2011. She was the recipient of four PX3, Prix de la Photographie Paris, 2011 competition awards including: Gold in the category of Book Proposal (Series Only) for her photograph, Surrealism, Gold in the category of Book Proposal/People (Series Only) for her photograph,
Surrealism, Gold in the category of Advertising for her photograph, Underwater Dreams, and Silver in the category of Fine Art for her photograph, Life.Despite. The jury selected PX3 2011’s winners from thousands of photography entries from over 85 countries. Bodrunova also received First Prize in the Worldwide Photography Gala Awards Colour Contest category of Fine Art. In addition, her photography was selected for the Palais de Glace Exhibition which will take place this January in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Also January and February 2012 her works have been chosen for “The 2012 Art Inter/National Exhibition” in Pittsburg, USA. Her photography appears in private collections across France, Italy, USA, and Germany.
Bodrunova's photographs defy conventional physics and show her subjects as weightless objects with an ability to transcend space and time. She explains, "Sometimes we change the space around us to fit our ideas and sometimes space, place, or time dictates their rules. We can fight or we can embrace, the choice is ours." She continuously explores her desire to search for something new, create her own reality, and define what is real.

Eva-Maria Steger is now following Rui Ricardo

Rui Ricardo is an illustrator from Porto, Portugal, where he lives and works.
Developing drawing skills at an early age, he had his first work published at the age of fifteen. His love for illustration and comics made him follow an artistic career and, by the time he was finishing the course of graphic design at the fine arts university of Porto, he already had four graphic novels published, no to mention countless colaborations with magazines and local comics fanzines. An invitation from a major national TV production company started him in animation and background illustration for “Major Alvega” which is still the only portuguese TV production series to have ever been nominated for an Emmy award. After eight years doing animation and motion design for several TV shows, music videos and commercials, he started working exclusively as a freelance illustrator. Rui is represented in London by Folio, a major illustration agency established in 1976. Most of his work is editorial and he has colaborated with several magazines and newspapers like FHM, Men’s Fitness, The Times, The Telegraph, The Mail on Sunday, GQ, Popular Mehanics, Marketing Week, among many more. Outside the press, he has also worked for Unicef, Hasbro, Oxford University Press, Pearson, Usborne, Macmillan, Vodafone, FNAC, Samsung, Nathan, Defra (UK government department for environment, food and rural affairs), and many others.
He likes to travel, dogs, plants, books and to play the ukulele.

I'm a photographer based in Lisbon, Portugal, dedicated manly to artistic photography and rock music concerts. Passionate about abstract and movement. Below my artist statement:
"As a retraction system of the world that surrounds me, photography takes on a role of merely capturing images that can be beautiful, that appeal to my senses, but that does not interest me aesthetically significant. Rather, I like to photograph the things that I look at, but I can not see and that only the camera can reveal to me. Only with the camera I can figure out what I can not contemplate otherwise. My creations, those which in fact I like from the point of view of the aesthetics behind them, reveal a world that, being my surroundings, is only visible in the product of my camera. The camera is for me, as the brush is for the painter. Separate instruments to revelation images, states of mind, my mind. Here she takes the leading role to reveal other worlds, like time, space and movement. The picture is not what I photographed. The photograph is a divergent reality.
My main photography reflects the nonconformist individual I am. Abstract thinking and constant pursuit of the new are like opium to me. The risk and pleasure it gives me is what feeds my passion for photography.
My goal is not the conventional photography. My goal is the other side of reality that surrounds me, the camera side, and this is unique. I do not want to tell stories with my photos. I want to establish forms, shadows, entities, ghosts, the surreal or supernatural, which populates my head.
But nevertheless, my photography does not live only with ghosts. Lives of more ordinary things. Lives of the live shows, breathe Rock’n’Roll, feeds on the energy of the stage.
She feeds herself with other living things: naked bodies, the beauty of forms and emotions."
